Yorkshire Cricket Camps 2016
The Yorkshire Cricket Camps, funded by Leeds City Council Community Committee, are cricket coaching courses ran all throughout August at three different cricket clubs across Outer East Leeds.
Ran by The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation and coached by Pro Coach, the sessions ran from 10am until 3pm Monday to Friday and were just £1 per day!
Throughout the full three weeks, hundreds of children took part in the courses, which catered to ages 7-15 and were inclusive to all abilities. The courses included games and activities, cricket skills and techniques, ending the week with a match!
The aim of the project is to provide a fun and safe environment for children during the summer holidays, to get involved in activities that not only have great health benefits, but allow for socialisation and interaction with other children and provide essential life lessons of good sportsmanship, healthy competiveness and team spirit.
Thank you to all the children who attended and we are looking forward to see what next Summer brings!
