Yorkshire Pride Lottery Member Wins £9,250 Jackpot!

Cricket mad Gerald Hickmott, from Cleckheaton, has won the Yorkshire Pride Lottery Jackpot total of £9,250!

Gerald is a life-long cricket fan and has been a cricket scorer for 52 years. He was lost for words on the news that he had won the total of £9,250.

“I just love cricket. I’m a cricket scorer, have been for 52 years. I even scored for Yorkshire Juniors. I haven’t made a decision on what I will spend the money on yet, but I’ll probably use it to fund my new bike and the maybe a holiday! It really hasn’t sunk in yet”

Gerald attended the War of the Roses match on Friday 11th August, to watch Yorkshire Vikings take on Lancashire Lightning. He stopped by the YCF Gazebo to have his photo taken, with YCF Fundraising Manager, Claire Cunningham and collect his check.

“The Yorkshire Pride Lottery provides essential funds to the three charities involved. For us at the YCF, it allows us to continue our community work, which helps change the lives of people in Yorkshire for the better” – Claire Cunningham, The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation
