Our #RunAndTalk in honour of World Mental Health Day

On Monday 8th October, we hosted our 4th #RunAndTalk in honour of world mental health day (Wednesday 10th October).

With 9 runners, we covered over 2.5 miles and wore special #RunAndTalk T-shirt to overtly show how we are supporting mental health awareness and reducing stigma around it.

The run finished with a social gathering catch up to promote the importance of talking to one another.

A bit about #RunAndTalk

#RunAndTalk is an England Athletics campaign, supported by Mind the mental health charity, to improve mental wellbeing through running and to break down the stigma associated with mental health by getting people talking about it.

The #RunAndTalk campaign aims to improve mental health through running in England by:

- Getting people talking about mental health, sharing their experiences and removing stigma

- Raising awareness of mental health problems

- Supporting people experiencing mental health problems to be physically active through running, whether that is to support them in starting, returning to or continuing to run
