Career Development Day
Leeds Met students studying Sport Leisure and Culture enjoyed a morning centred around university life and potential future career opportunities after graduation. Hosted by Leeds Met graduates and current Yorkshire CCC employees, the morning began with presentations describing the journeys taken over their 3 years study including taking up volunteering opportunities which contributed to future employment.
After the presentations, the students were taken on a tour of the ground, encouraged to observe their surroundings to aid awareness of how Yorkshire CCC runs away from the playing and coaching staff and the different careers involved at a professional sports club ranging from accounts to hospitality.
The tour ended with a question and answer session in the Hawke Club where the students could ask about what future employers look for in job applications as well as all aspects of the club including the community work done by the Foundation with many volunteering to help at future events and YCF projects.
