The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation is bringing the Caribbean to Scarborough with our beach cricket tournament, part of the iconic Scarborough Cricket Festival. We can’t guarantee blistering sunshine, palm trees and a steel band; however we can guarantee a fantastic day and the unique opportunity to play in an organised competition on South Bay Beach in front of Scarborough Spa.
The Beach Cricket tournament, has been a very successful addition to the iconic Scarborough Cricket festival. The primary aim is to give children from local communities and beyond, the opportunity to play a round robin cricket competition by the sea, followed by the chance to watch their heroes play at .
Working with Scarborough Borough Council, the tournament is played on the beach in front of the iconic Scarborough Spa building with a round robin league. This year, on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd, three teams will battle it out each day to be crowned Winner of Beach Cricket and the chance to win tickets for the 2017 Test Match at Headingley!
All participants and their coaches will receive tickets to watch the Yorkshire v Nottinghamshire Specsavers County Championship match at Scarborough Cricket Ground on the 23rd August!
