James Greenfield - Ex Sports Editor of the Yorkshire Post

I was Chief Sub-Editor of the Yorkshire Post for over 15 years and the paper continues to provide assistance to the Archives Committee, especially with historic pictures.

I am the Chairman of the Wombwell Cricket Lovers’ Society, a member of the Northern Cricket Society Committee and a member of Yorkshire County Cricket Supporters’ Association. I was Vice-Captain of Boston Grammar School Cricket Team in 1961, and through the 1960s I played club cricket in Lincolnshire before playing league cricket in Leeds for 22 years.

I edited YCCC’s White Rose magazine for seven years and for 14 years have been Production Editor of the YCCC Yearbook.
