The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation is the official charity and community arm of Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Using the power of cricket, the foundation runs community projects across the county, aiming to make a lasting, positive impact on the lives of those living in Yorkshire.
The work of the foundation falls under four themes which are:
• Health & Wellbeing
We are currently seeking to recruit three experienced professionals as trustees, who are passionate about making a difference. Applications are invited from individuals who are able to offer time and expertise to support the existing board of trustees and the development of the charity.
We are particularly interested in hearing from people in senior roles with businesses in Yorkshire, with a strong network in the county, as well as people who have significant skills and experience in the areas of digital, marketing & PR or education.
It’s an extremely exciting time for cricket and the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation in particular. Trustees will be advising, supporting and helping the charity as it enters it’s next phase of development and growth, working towards our biggest challenge, which is to be the charity that makes the biggest and everlasting impact on Yorkshire’s communities.
Successful applicants will be required to:
• To ensure the Foundation adheres to its aims, objectives and strategy
• To ensure good governance in line with charity commission guidelines
• Attend four board meetings per year
• Understand and accept the legal responsibility of being a trustee
• Commit to support the development of the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation
• Support and represent the Foundation at key events
