Junior Diamonds Day

Junior Diamonds Day is a special day for children to get involved with the club before a Yorkshire Diamonds Game at Headingley

Junior Diamonds Day, delivered by The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation, is held before a Yorkshire Diamonds Game, that provides young children with the opportunity to come to Headingley before the game and engage with the club.

40 children are given the opportunity to take part in a coaching session, ran by our partners Pro Coach, and are then accompanied by Yorkshire Diamond Players who make their way over to the nets to play a little cricket with the children, giving them a few tips and hints on how to up their game!

Junior Diamonds Day gives the opportunity for both boys and girls to experience a unique Yorkshire Cricket experience, with the aim of encouraging more girls to get involved with Cricket and sports. Getting the Yorkshire Diamond players involved really inspires young girls to pursue cricket and other sports.

This is then followed by an Q&A session with the players, where children get to ask them questions about their lives and experiences with Yorkshire Cricket.

The children are then taken on an exclusive tour of Headingley Stadium by our tour guide Mel and can then take their seats to watch the match!

Keep an eye out on our social media pages for any upcoming opportunities….
