Yorkshire Cricket School’s Offers
The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation has expanded its school’s offer. Working with delivery partners, Pro Coach, we can now offer a range of initiatives for both primary and secondary schools at Headingley or at your school.
These projects vary from educational visits to Headingley stadium, striking and fielding curriculum led sessions, development of physical literacy through fundamental movements, coach education, player assemblies and young leader programmes to name a few.

Our Gold, Silver and Bronze packages give you the flexibility to pick and choose the projects that suit the needs of your school. The Bronze package includes 3 projects, Silver includes 5 and Gold includes 7 of the below offers.

- Cricket in the Classroom – £150
Our flagship educational held at Headingley Cricket Ground scheme starts at 10am and features a 90 minute classroom session with an interactive, curriculum related workbook followed by 90 minutes of cricket in the Yorkshire Cricket Centre. After lunch, the children are treated to a behind the scenes stadium tour. The day finishes at 2:30pm.
6 hours of delivery time at your school through Pro Coach focusing on fundamental movements covering striking and fielding elements of the National Curriculum. These sessions will develop participants’ physical literacy and prepare them for a more sport specific activity.
Starting at 10am at Headingley Cricket Ground, our health days start with a 90 minute classroom session followed by a physical session integrating fundamental movements into a striking and fielding based 90 minutes whilst relating back to the theory learnt in the classroom. After lunch, there is a 60 minute stadium tour. The day finishes at 2:30pm.
Delivered at your school we will run 6 hours of cricket related fitness. These sessions can be delivered to specific groups and tailored depending on the needs of the participants. A holistic delivery plan will enhance participants’ strength and cardio-vascular capabilities as well as developing fundamental movement skills focusing on agility, balance and co-ordination. Coaches will educate the participants on how to sustain their fitness away from a school or sport’s environment.
Soak up the unique match day atmosphere of a Royal London One-Day Cup match at Headingley; a fantastic way to round off your work with the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation (based on a class of 30 and 3 teachers/adults)
The YCF can offer a limited number of opportunities to play cricket on the outfield during lunch at Yorkshire CCC Specsavers County Championship matches. The package includes match day tickets, use of YCF classroom and supervised pitch access during the interval
- Advanced Cricketer Programme (Gold & Silver packages only) – £255
Our leading coaches will visit your school and work with selected students who have demonstrated above average cricketing ability. We will engage in 5 hours’ cricket specific work at your school, followed by an hour at Headingley Cricket Ground to complete the programme
- Entry Level Programme – £180
A bespoke 6 hours of coaching specifically developed for children from the age of 5 and 7. A fantastic way to introduce striking and fielding training to the youngest children in preparation to participate in more sports specific activities moving forwards. A strong focus will be placed on building physical foundations by building fundamental movements skills, essential in the physical education into the sessions.
Hosted by Yorkshire Cricket Foundation staff who will be joined by YCCC cricketers* and Vinny the Viking (Yorkshire CCC mascot) for an unforgettable school assembly. Assemblies will encourage children’s positive behaviours; team-work, communication, body language and determination. After this, a question and answer session will take place with the players on a theme of your choice!

- Teacher/coach education – £180
Our expert team of coaches will put your teachers through their paces, running coaching workshops, sharing ideas and approaches. Content will vary from holistic physical development Once the workshops have finished, you will be given a coaching pack that includes session plans and cricket specific drills to use throughout the summer
