Diverse Communities Projects- Bradford

Our Diverse Communities work in Bradford is ran in conjunction with the England Cricket Board (ECB) and aims to increase participation in formal and informal games of Cricket as well as training and recruiting volunteers from local communities.

Based at the iconic Park Avenue Cricket Ground in Bradford, projects aim to deliver an extensive programme of Cricket activities across inner city areas of the Bradford District covering wards of: Bowling and Barkerend, Bradford Moor, City, Clayton and Fairweather, Great Horton, Keighley Centre, Manningham and Toller.

Yorkshire Cricket Foundation will introduce new and under – represented groups to the game of Cricket by providing alternative formats at accessible venues and times as well as encourage participation in existing ECB Pathways into the game.

Projects aim to work within existing Clubs, Leagues and non – Cricket organisations to recruit, train and retain a voluntary workforce from within all sections of the communities including Women, girls and Young People of the District for the benefit of the game.

Regular programme of training opportunities will be available in various aspects of the game including: Coaching, Umpiring, Scoring, Safeguarding and groundsman.
