Vacancies: NCS Team Leaders

Do something amazing with your summer 2020…

NCS is a government-funded programme that brings together young people aged 15-17 year olds and engages them in a unique, four week programme:
Phase 1: A 5 day residential, in the Lake District, taking part in adrenaline-fuelled adventure activities such as Rock Climbing, Gorge Scrambling and Canoeing.

Phase 2: A 5 day residential, based at a local university, designed to develop independence and life skills. During this week they’ll take part in a wide range of different workshops such as self-defence, public speaking and some skills based sessions with ex-professional athletes.

Phase 3: A 10 day social action project, based at Headingley Stadium, comprising of planning and delivering a community project designed to have a big impact on their local area.

Phase 4: A celebration ceremony for young people to receive their certificates, reminisce about their summer and finish off with a party.

NCS is designed to empower young people as they transition into young adults, engaging them in activities that challenge, build confidence and develop skills. More details can be found at https://wearencs.com/

We are recruiting Team Leaders and Team Assistants to support teams of up to 16 young people through our 2020 NCS summer programme. We are looking to build a diverse staff team and welcome applicants with a range of skill-sets and life-experience. Applicants should be passionate about working with young people and have relevant experience and knowledge – please see the job vacancy link below.
