Reminisce with the YCF

The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation are pleased to announce details of remote reminiscence sessions which will be taking place over the coming weeks facilitated by our suppliers Dewsbury Memories.

The sessions have been developed as part of the Yorkshire Cricket Heritage: Reminiscence & Education – Building a Legacy project (funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund).

We are encouraging people to share their local cricket memories and talk about sport in general, whilst connecting with others who share the same passion.

Chris Chatten, Project Manager, Yorkshire Cricket Foundation, said “We have tweaked our plans for the project in light of the current climate we are living in and it does seem that lots of people are reminiscing about their own sporting achievements or events they have attended. So now is a great time to launch these sessions, giving people more opportunities to chat about and share memories”.

Allison Simpson of Dewsbury Memories, said “If you’re missing sport (cricket), either playing or watching and enjoy talking about sport then our online reminiscence sessions are for you. An opportunity to get together with a group likeminded people to chat about cricket, sport, life and more – building on our network of reminiscence sessions”

The sessions will be delivered via the video conferencing system Zoom and take place on the below dates all at 2pm:

Thursday 30th April
Thursday 7th May
Thursday 14th May

The below video may be useful to watch in regards to downloading and using the Zoom application.
