Top Gun flies into East Yorkshire
Rounds 8 and 9 of Top Gun were held in East Yorkshire, the first time the competition has visited Humberside. The morning heat took place at the Thomas Ferens Academy in Hull followed by a trip to Pocklington School for round 9 in the afternoon.
Attendances were down due to the unfortunate clash with Hull City’s FA cup semi-final at Wembley. Nevertheless, the day produced 3 new entries for the East Yorkshire group, headed by Hull Zingari quick Matty Scar who grunted his way up to 76mph which is the 3rd fastest speed in the competition so far. He was joined in third place by club colleague Matt Wilkinson. A special mention goes to current second place William Ineson who, aged 14 clocked an impressive 69mph – a name to look out for in future Top Gun competitions.
Due to the date conflict with the football, a further heat for East Yorkshire will take place with more details to follow soon posted on social media and the website. Leader boards found below.
