FREE Digital Courses Launched!
The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation are delighted to announce the launch of two new digital courses in partnership with the Skills Network.
The Level 2 Certificate in Self-harm and Suicide Awareness and Prevention and the Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills are available for individuals over the age of 19 who are currently not in education.
Both courses are available to study for FREE and provide the opportunity for individuals to expand their knowledge and gain a nationally recognised qualification equivalent to GCSE level.
As part of the Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills, learners will study a range of modules, including counselling skills theories, diversity and ethics in counselling.
The course provides a strong foundation for individuals wishing to pursue a career in counselling or within a HR capacity.
The Level 2 Certificate in Self-harm and Suicide Awareness course covers a number of areas including recognising the signs of suicide and self-harm in individuals and the principles of self-harm and suicide prevention.
Beth Cook, Health and Wellbeing Manager for the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation commented,
“The current national landscape has been a tough period for many people. However, it has also provided a great opportunity for personal development. We believe these courses are the perfect way to empower people by providing an opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge whilst also serving those within their community.”
The skills acquired through the course can be applied to a broad range of personal and professional situations and may be of particular interest to teachers, mental health workers and support workers.
The two new courses are an expansion of the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation’s current course offering, with a number of online courses already available to study including Mental Health and Nutrition.
All courses are delivered remotely, allowing learners to study at their own pace and ability.
