Ottis Gibson inspires YCC youngsters

Yorkshire County Cricket Club Head Coach Ottis Gibson met Yorkshire Cricket College (YCC) students at a special event this week.

Gibson, who made his Barbados debut in 1990 and only retired as a Durham player in 2007, before heading straight into international-level coaching, met with young people and staff from the award-winning college run by Yorkshire Cricket Foundation (YCF) in partnership with Pro Coach and SCL Education, on Tuesday, 10 May.

Gibson said: “It was great to meet with the aspiring cricketers from Yorkshire Cricket College to see how they benefit from the education and coaching they receive.

“It’s always enjoyable to inspire and spend time with our young people. It’s important to give something back.”
