Top Gun 2015 Heat and Application Details

The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation are holding heats in each region of the county. Choose the most convenient one for you and come along for a bowl! Entry is £2 per adult and £1 for under 18’s.

Check out the 2014 winner’s prize, training with the Yorkshire CCC pro squad as well as one to one coaching with first team coach and fast bowling icon, Jason Gillespie.

Heats

6th May, 6pm – 8:30pm at Marton CC (outdoor)
12th May, 6pm – 8pm at Headingley Cricket Centre (indoor)
18th May, 6pm – 8:30pm at Pudsey Congs CC (outdoor)
19th May, 6pm-8:30pm – Harrogate CC (outdoor)
20th May, 6pm-8:30pm – York CC (outdoor)

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Participants must complete an application form to register and pay – £2 for 18+ and £1 for under 18
  • Participants can register for multiple heat locations
  • Participants must represent a Yorkshire based club
  • Participants will be responsible for their own warm up
  • Participants can bowl will use the spare net/s for warm up deliveries
  • Each competitor will bowl 3 ‘clocked’ deliveries in sequence
  • The fastest of the 3 deliveries will be used for the result
  • In the event of a tie, the competitor’s second fastest delivery will decide the winner
  • Front foot and full toss (above stump height) no-balls will not count as a legitimate delivery, however will be counted as one of the 3 deliveries
  • You must not have played 1st Class Cricket in the last 4 years
  • The fastest 11 bowlers from across the county will be invited to take part in the semi-finals on Headingley Cricket Ground during a YCCC T20 match
  • During the 3 semi finals, the fastest bowler in each semi final will qualify for the final on the 11th September. The 4th finalist will be the fastest runner up from the semi finals
  • The decision of the organisers will be final
