For animal lovers, the TryZone Education centre will be hosting a pet’s corner with an array animals to interact with, alongside a horses’ station provided by the Equine Pathways Charity, all located at the corner of the North Stand and Western Terrace.
Food and refreshments will be available from our regular stadium vendors on the day, along with new offerings this year from restaurants Wok & Go and Red’s True BBQ.
Also providing stations on the day will be Yorkshire Cancer Research, ASDA, West Yorkshire Police, Pure Gym, British Gas and Asda with face painting, a kids’ bouncy castle and many more activities for small children available.
Entertainment at Children’s Day has been organised by Child Friendly Leeds who have lined up some local music acts for the main stage hosted on the day by Rugby AM, who are also supporting the event.
The stage located outside Headingley Lodge, aside from a variety of music acts performing will host the Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s very own Rhinestones Dance Academy.
As with every year, Children’s Day receives the support of the Leeds Rhinos first team squad who will be available during the day to sign autographs, take photos and present trophies to the winners of the Rugby and Football tournaments taking place on the pitch from 10:30am.
The Stadium gates will be open from 10am and the event closes at 4:30pm and is completely free, so don’t miss out on a great day out for the kids and support the work of the Leeds Rhinos Foundation and the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation.
This year’s Children’s Day is promising to be one of the biggest in recent years, with some fantastic activities on offer for the public to get involved with. With free entry and free activities, this is definitely an event not to be missed! Great fun for the whole family to get involved with.
