Health and Well-Being Fund
The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation and Club staff, along with members of the YCF Run Club are competing in a number of organised events over the next 12 months raising funds to support our Health and Well-being projects.
Health and Well-being is one of The Yorkshire Cricket Foundations five key themes with a variety of projects falling under this theme, covering mental health and well-being as well as fitness and health and well-being, such as Memory Lane Mondays and the YCF Running Club.
The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation Running Club, which was launched in May 2016, have already participated The Temple Newsam Women’s 10k, raising approximately £170 between them. It was a fantastic achievement for all involved, with many of the women reaching personal running goals as well as being a great way to raise funds. Plans are already in place for the next running event for all members of the running club to take part in!
The Health and Well-being fund allows us to develop and maintain our existing and new Health and Well-being projects. As a charity, we rely on essential donations such as these to run our projects. It also gives our Running Club members something to train for and is a good addition to Monday night sessions to keep members fit, healthy and focused! – Beth Cook, Foundation Projects Officer.
