YCF Running Club step into the New Year!
The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation’s Running Club relaunched last night! An eight-strong team, including two new additions, came together last night to brave the cold January night.
The #RoseRunners completed a session that covered around 4 kilometers and included laps of the iconic Headingley Stadium – some timed, some for fun! By incorporating a variety of games and activities into sessions, the run leaders are breaking the monotony of road running and making it an enjoyable, social experience for those attending.
“It’s great to see people still turn out on a wet January evening to come running with us. We welcome all new runners of differing abilities and are really looking forward to the group growing!” Beth Cook, Project Officer
After two successful ten week blocks held last year, the newly identified #RoseRunners Club will continue to run weekly throughout the year, meeting at 5:30pm (to start running at 5:45pm) outside the Yorkshire Cricket Centre on St Michael’s Lane, Headingley.
