Beach Cricket Teams Wanted!

Beach Cricket is back!

Beach Cricket is one of the Yorkshire Cricket Foundations longest running projects. The three day Beach Cricket tournament continues to be a very successful addition to the iconic Scarborough Cricket festival. The primary aim is to give children from local communities and beyond, the opportunity to play a round robin cricket competition by the sea, followed by the chance to watch their heroes play at Scarborough.

Working with Scarborough Borough Council, the tournament is played on the beach in front of the iconic Scarborough Spa building in a round robin league, with three teams battling it out to claim the victory of the day!

This year, the dates are 6th, 7th and 8th August, with competitions being held on South Bay Beach, Scarborough.

All participants and their coaches will receive a free ticket to watch the Yorkshire v Essex on that day, with the winning team winning ticket vouchers for 2018.

We’re looking for 6 teams per day. Day 1 and 2 are for under 11 teams, both boys and girls. Day 3 is exclusively for under 13 girls teams.
