The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation is a registered charity that delivers community projects across the county. Using the power of sport and cricket in particular, the foundation aims to make a lasting, positive impact on the lives of those living in Yorkshire.

An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated and enthusiastic undergraduate to undertake a graphic design internship for the 2017 cricket season, 10 hours a week with the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation (YCF). The successful candidate will have an opportunity to be part of a vibrant and innovative group of staff, and to gain first-hand experience working on design and media content across a range of projects and initiatives.

Job description – Graphic Designer (Internship)

To work with the YCF to plan and design engaging content to promote and raise awareness of the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation’s work.

Duties and responsibilities

- Work closely with Yorkshire CCC media and marketing team to produce promotional material for The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation, following brand guidelines. – Assist the Marketing and PR officer with design work for a variety of campaigns – Support the planning of marketing and fundraising campaigns – Work closely with the Project Officer to support design work requirements for projects and events – Contribute to YCF social media updates – Keep up to date with marketing and design trends


-Working in a professional, multi-faceted environment
-Take an active part in the planning, delivery and evaluation of projects
-Hands on design management for both community and professional sports events and projects
-Engagement with media and marketing – social media platforms and website contribution
-Opportunity to link with other departments within Yorkshire Cricket
-Working at an international sporting venue

The above candidate will be required to gain knowledge of the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation and an appreciation of the work it carries out in communities throughout Yorkshire. They will be a current university student undertaking a relevant degree and most importantly, possess a strong team and work ethic.

Person Specification

In support of your application, the successful candidate will possess the following:-


-Currently studying for a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
-Excellent interpersonal skill and good communication, presentation skills
-Available to work from June to the end of September
-Ability to work flexible hours
-Access to own laptop with Adobe In-Design, Illustrator and Photoshop


-An interest in sport is essential. Knowledge of cricket is desirable.
