YCF Hire a Diamond!

To inspire and increase the amount of cricket played by women and girls across Yorkshire, The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation and The Yorkshire Cricket Board have hired a Yorkshire Diamonds Cricket Activator.

Joanne Swinbank
My role includes working under the umbrella of Yorkshire Cricket in the planning and delivery of projects focussing on improving the engagement of women and girls across Yorkshire whilst continually promoting the Yorkshire Diamonds’ involvement in the KSL.

Joanne has previously interned with the YCF, where she gained a wealth of knowledge about cricket and the planning process behind the YCF’s work and events. In addition to her work at the YCF, Joanne has just finished her Degree in Events Management at Leeds Beckett University.

I’m really excited about my role as a Yorkshire Diamonds Activator. Having worked with the YCF since 2015, I have experience working on a range of events which will aid me in the planning and delivery of the Yorkshire Diamonds’ Road shows and other upcoming events we have. I’m looking forward to the summer ahead, hopefully inspiring some budding female cricketers along the way! – Joanne Swinbank

The purpose of the role is to plan, promote and facilitate the pathway for women and girl’s involvement in cricket and to raise awareness of the Yorkshire Diamonds in the KSL as well as contributing to building Yorkshire Cricket as the Champion of our communities and to being the Charity that makes the biggest and everlasting impact in Yorkshire’s communities.

Joanne will be responsible for delivering Yorkshire Diamonds’ community Road Shows county wide, managing match day activations for the diamonds planning and promoting a range of events to increase women and girls participation in cricket.
