Running on Empty?

World Mental Health Day is taking place on Tuesday 10th October so to support the cause, the YCF #RoseRunners will be hosting its usual Monday night running session that week (Monday 9th October) as a #RunAndTalk session. The run will increase awareness of mental health issues, reduce stigma associated with it and promote the positive mental well-being benefits that running and exercise can bring. We will be running between 3 and 5k, ending in the Oak – our own mini Otley Run!

The run will take place on Monday 9th October, meeting outside the Yorkshire Cricket Centre at 5.30pm, ready to run at 5.45pm. The session is available to ALL abilities and we have allowed approximately 60 minutes for everyone to complete the route. The run is completely free and each participant that attends will also get a free trainer tag so we can overtly show our support for mental well-being.

We want to make a big impact and have as many runners as possible involved, so if you can spare the evening, please do come along and help us raise awareness and support for World Mental Health Day and well-being in Yorkshire’s communities.
