College beat Myerscough to record back to back wins

The Yorkshire Cricket College beat Lancashire-based Myerscough College by seven wickets last week to make it back to back wins following the previous week’s victory over Huddersfield New College.

Myerscough opened the batting and lost a wicket on the first ball before number two Jones and number three Kennedy made 50 and 52 respectively.

Then followed a collapse with Coulson making the next highest contribution of 14 giving the hosts a final total of 152 all out.

Yorkshire bowler Harrison Wood bowled excellently and claimed five wickets from his eight-over spell, with Jonny MacGregor, Max Law, Sam Wisniewski and Tom Starkey all taking one apiece.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Harry Wilkinson and Tom Lindsay opened the batting in reply for the YCC, with the former making 47 from 92 balls including four 4s and a six.

James Rogers made 26 before being run out before Boeta Buekes and Kieran Collins made 23 and 7 respectively as the students reached their target with eight overs to spare.
