Emerald Education Day Friday 26th June

Emerald Education Day this year is being held on Friday 26th June to round off National Cricket Week.

The day involves 600 primary schools children from across the county, coming to Headingley Cricket Ground to take part in a wide variety of activities.

Running, right across the stadium, activities include cricket coaching, learning zone skills and drills, learning the HAKA, sporting influence, Lend Me Your Literacy, poster design amongst others.

The day is themed around the visiting international teams to Headingley, which this year is Australia and New Zealand.

The finale to the day will see all 600 children perform the HAKA on the pitch
