The Gilbert Cup is being held on the outfield during the interval of the the Royal London One Day match between Yorkshire V Northants, on the 18th August, for the chance to play at Lords!
There will be two under 11’s Kwik Cricket matches- 1 girls match and 1 boys match, all of who get to go onto the pitch and play during the interval. All participants will receive a cap, t-shirt and, on completion of the match, a medal. The children will also be given the opportunity to attend coaching sessions in the Cricket Centre, run by ProCoach, in the morning.
The winners of each match will not only receive the chance of an all-expenses paid for trip to Lords, with VIP tickets, but also have the chance to play at Lords in the interval during the Royal London One-Day Cup final, should Yorkshire progress into the final of the competition.
The teams, organised and co-ordinated by the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation, are:
Scholes CC and Ripley CC- The Boys
Alne CC and Woodlands CC-The Girls
It will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for the children, playing in the footsteps of their heroes, here at Headingley and the chance to be involved in a major domestic final at Lords.

All children who come to watch the match on Tuesday 18th will also have the opportunity to attend a 60 minute coaching session in the Cricket Centre as part of the Gilbert Cup programme laid on by Royal London.
The 3 × 60 minute sessions will run from 10:30 and finish at 13:30 and will be age dependant subject to the following times;
10:30 – 11:30: Under 9’s
11:30 – 12:30: Under 11’s
12:30 – 13:30: Under 15’s
Bookings for the above sessions can be made in the Cricket Centre and will be available on a first come, first served basis with a maximum of 30 children per session.
