Beach Cricket 2016!
The Beach Cricket tournament, now in its third year has been a very successful addition to the iconic Scarborough Cricket festival. The primary aim is to give children from local communities and beyond, the opportunity to play a round robin cricket competition by the sea, followed by the chance to watch their heroes play at Scarborough.
Working with Scarborough Borough Council, the tournament lasts 3 days long and is played on the beach in front of the iconic Scarborough Spa building in a round robin format, with three teams battling it out to claim the victory of the day! Each of the participants and their coaches receive tickets to watch Yorkshire play in Scarborough.
This year, to promote women and girls cricket, day 3 is dedicated to under 13’s girls cricket, to get local girls team involved. The winners of each day will receive tickets to watch Yorkshire at Headingley!
