My role within the YCF team offers support to and is guided by our Health and Wellbeing Manager. On my yearlong placement with the YCF, I am focusing on specific health and wellbeing projects, ensuring their growth, expansion and improvement. This means my work includes researching, planning, organising, delivering and evaluating new or pre-existing projects under the Health and Wellbeing theme.
I am currently a student at Loughborough University, studying BSc Psychology. This year will be my third university year which I have chosen to complete a placement year here with the YCF, before going back to Loughborough and completing my degree to graduate in 2020. I have a keen interest for health psychology, so I’m excited to be working with such great people and doing such great work in the communities of Yorkshire.
In my spare time I enjoy socialising with friends and family, watching films and reading, as well as playing a bit of sport; traditionally I was a competitive swimmer, but I developed a love for Lifesaving sport which I now do within and outside of university and compete in regularly throughout the year in club to international competitions. Alongside working here, I also work as a Lifeguard for Leeds City Council.
