Running into the New Year!
The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation Running club has now seen two successful 10 week blocks, the first starting back in May and the second in September, improving fitness of locals in and around Leeds.
The YCF running provides around 75 minutes of exercise each week at the pace of members of the group, which is inclusive to all abilities.
The project is part of our Health & Well-being theme, keeping people physically fit and active whilst also providing many mental health benefits due to the social nature of the club.
The sessions provide a comfortable, social environment and include tips and practical advice needed to improve running from the clubs qualified run leaders.
The club has provided numerous health benefits with 100% of members who completed the first post-running club survey still actively running after the first 10 week block. The group has collectively run a whopping 350 kilometres during the sessions, not to mention additional events!
Due to the success of the club, The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation Running Club are changing it up and planning a more long term club for you to get involved in in the coming New Year!

We’re incredibly pleased with how successful running club has been, it’s been a fantastic addition to our Health and Wellbeing theme. All group members have given it 110% and have really pushed themselves over the last two blocks, going above and beyond personal goals. Well done to all involved and we look forward seeing what the new year brings!
