Fundraising Strategy - Invitation to tender
The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation is seeking a fundraising strategy consultant to lead on developing an ambitious yet achievable fundraising strategy which will ensure our long-term financial sustainability and growth to underpin our future direction. The consultant will also work with a broad group of professionals within YCF in particular the fundraising subcommittee and the senior management team to create and develop the strategy and plan, as well as working alongside the marketing team to translate key fundraising messages.
Introduction & background
The foundation has seen significant development since 2012 with the reach and variety of programmes increasing each year. YCF is currently in the process of finalising their ambitious 2021 – 2024 strategy “The Game Plan”. As the charity moves forward it will aim to significantly increase its reach, working closely with key partners in the county to ensure it has a positive impact on all sectors of society.
Across all of the Foundation’s themes and work YCF will ensure by 2024 that it has an offer that is open and accessible to all. This offer will target unreached groups and diverse communities, making sure there is equality of opportunity for everyone to enjoy, learn and take part.
The themes will be supported by a fundraising strategy that aims to provide sustainable funding year on year to support the community work, with a particular focus on unrestricted fundraising.
YCF regard public and private sectors as equally important in delivering their work, and seek to align and leverage supporters across all sectors, including through innovative multi-partner collaborations.
As the foundation moves towards the next stage in its growth, there is a need to develop and implement a clear strategy for fundraising that will increase and diversify the charities income significantly. A more active and sophisticated approach to diversifying the supporter base, including an experienced and systematic approach to increasing unrestricted funding, is required.

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 22nd December. The evaluation and selection of a preferred supplier will be completed w/c 18th January 2021, with an expected start date of February 2021.
