Since launching our ACE programme in Sheffield huge strides have been made in supporting young black players into the game.  

The 2024 edition of the Ramadan Tapeball Competition again brought together communities from different areas, this time at a new venue, the Frame 2 complex in Bradford on Sunday, 24 March 2024.

Teams from various regions of Yorkshire gathered at The Edge, University of Leeds facility, for a significant event celebrating our diverse culture.

The stage is set for an exciting showdown as champions from four areas gear up to compete in the Yorkshire Indoor Cup 2024, competing for the coveted title of Indoor Champions of Yorkshire.

Volunteer Des Smith, one of the founders and Chair of Sheffield Caribbean Sports Club, has been honoured with the 2023 BBC Sports Personality Unsung Hero award.

After 9 weeks of enthralling cricket action, UFCC have emerged to become the champions of the Leeds Indoor cup 2023.

Des Smith, who has been hailed as "the driving force" behind the sports club, has been named the BBC Sports Personality "Unsung Hero" for Yorkshire.
