The Grey Fox Trophy Round 2

Bowling Old Lane picked up from there first fixture- as they secured an 80 run victory vs New Farnley. Batting first, Bowling Old Lane posted 234-4- an excellent batting display, which saw 5 of their batsmen scoring above 30 and retiring not out.

Chasing such a huge total, New Farnley needed contributions from their top order if they wanted to get close. Unfortunately, most of their batsmen could not get going- as they ended up on 164 for the loss of 8 wickets. Richard Good and Tony Lawson both retired not out having scored 33 and 30 respectively, but wickets falling at regular intervals meant that the chase started to get away from New Farnley.

All in all, this was a great game of cricket to watch- with both sides playing with the correct spirit, a credit to themselves and their clubs.
