The Mobile Museum follows the Vikings to Harrogate

On a very pleasant Tuesday evening, the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation made the short trip from Headingley to Harrogate to showcase some of Yorkshire County Cricket Clubs great history. The mobile museum, containing a number of artefacts stretching back in time, as well as images and information on past Yorkshire legends, was a further attraction for fans who came to watch a strong Viking’s side battle it out against a very talented local club.

The fixture saw two highly talented teams battle it out, with Harrogate CC desperate to cause a shock and write themselves into the history books. Despite no upset, the game proved to be a good test of the Viking’s T20 skills, and the performance will hopefully be a building block to a very successful season in the NatWest T20 Blast.

Whilst this was taking place, spectators of all ages visited the museum to look around, taking in some of the history and heritage that makes Yorkshire County Cricket Club so great. The big question is, what can the current crop of players and coaches add to the history.

The mobile museum will be present at a number of future events such as fixtures at Scarborough and the great Yorkshire show. Take your chance to learn about Yorkshire CCC and visit us on these occasions. Alternatively, visit the Cricket Museum at Headingley Stadium on match days and take an extensive look back at our history.
