Yorkshire's clubs urged to compete in the Grey Fox Trophy

Are you over 50 years of age and fancy competing at Headingley Stadium, home of the current LV=CC County Champions? The Grey Fox Trophy may just be the thing for you.

For the past four years, teams from all over Yorkshire have competed in a 30-over competition, with the aim to progress through the early fixtures, and represent their club at some of Yorkshire’s most prestigious grounds. The 2014 season saw four teams win through to the semi-finals at Headingley and the Central Yorkshire over 50s emerge victorious in the Scarborough final, to be crowned Grey Fox Trophy Champions.

2015 will see a number of changes to the competition, with a plate competition being introduced for the first time. This will be for teams who are knocked out of the early rounds to continue to compete. There are also a number of new rules designed to level the playing field for all taking part.

The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation and Yorkshire Cricket Board are looking for new teams to enter the competition for the 2015 season. If you are interested in entering a team into the competition or are looking for a team, or just want to find out more information, email or ring 0113 2033600.
