Grey Fox Trophy Draw 2015
With the 2015 season almost upon us, preparations for the Grey Fox Trophy are heating up. The draw for the competition took place in the Long Room at Headingley Cricket Ground on 18th March.
The Grey Fox Trophy is an over 50’s cricket competition run in Yorkshire. Teams enter from across the county, competing for the opportunity to play in the semi finals at Headingley and the final at Scarborough. The winners will be crowned the 2015 Grey Fox Champions.
2014 winners Central Yorkshire will be competing along with 14 other teams, all hoping to get their hands on the coveted trophy
The draw is as follows:-
Group 1
1) Conisborough CC
2) Bradford Bhuddays
3) Fishlake
Group 2:
1) Great Horton Church
2) Mirfield Harry Lime
3) Wetherby Wrinklies
Group 3:
1) York Vale Veterans
2) Hall Park Templars
3) Nidderdale Notsoyoungs
Group 4:
1) Hepworth Idol
2) Bolton Villas
3) Dales Dragons
Group 5:
1) Wellington Goldfish
2) Central Yorkshire
3) Norton Ancients
Teams will play 2 fixtures, one against each other team in the group, with the team coming first in each group going through to the quarter-finals alongside the three best runners up. All other teams will then be entered into a plate competition.
Results from all fixtures played along with any notable performances will be published on the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation Website as well as the twitter and Facebook pages.
