#RoseRunners Halloween Headtorch Firework Fun Run
Last night, the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation running club, also known as the YCF #RoseRunners, teamed up with Up & Running Headingley store’s social running group (SRG) to put on a festive Halloween Headtorch Firework Night Fun Run to mark our collaboration (and for a bit of fun!)
15 runners turned up in total and received their headtorch (provided by Up & Running). We then set off on our off road run, with some spooky surprises en route…Including a skeleton in the woods, a boogey man in the tunnel and some creepy signage…
Fireworks framed the skies as we made our way through a 6.5K route (with quicker runners looping back and covering around 7k) across Meanwood Park and the Meanwood Valley Trail, through to the ring road, the Hollies and finishing up on the roads.
In Bonfire night style, we finished the night with some sparklers and some refreshments kindly provided by Up & Running. Up & Running also put on an exclusive on-the-night-only 20% discount for all runners taking part.
The #RoseRunners run every Monday at 5.30pm around Headingley, to promote the holistic health aspects of social running including mental, physical and social health and wellbeing.
