Scarborough & Ryedale Walking Cricket

On Thursday 6th February 2020, we saw Walking Cricket land in Scarborough and Ryedale, forming the Scarborough Seagulls (and there wasn’t a chip in sight). This 2 hour session welcomed 14 participants at the Scarborough Sports Village, all new to Walking Cricket. Participants took it in turns to bat, bowl and rotate around different fielding positions. All players enjoyed giving this new format of cricket a go and are eager to attend the next session, one participant expressing that they have never played cricket before in their life but had a good time trying something new. Whilst those more experienced cricketers enjoyed getting back into cricket in a more relaxed environment.

The session runs on Thursdays fortnightly at Scarborough Sports Village 10:30am-12:30pm. Only £3.00 per person with the next session taking place on Thursday 20th February. For more information please email lauren.mudd@yorkshirecricketfoundation.com.
