Kendal James - Participation Manager

As Participation Manager for the YCF, I am responsible for driving sustained growth in the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation’s participation programmes across the county. I also oversee externally funded projects including, the Diverse Communities Project in Leeds & Bradford, Wicketz in Leeds and Hull, Enjoy Cricket and Pop Up Cricket.

In 2013 I graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University, with a degree in Sports Coaching, which lead me to purse a career in sport. I became a School Games Organiser and School Sport Coordinator in Rotherham, which was heavily focused on developing and increasing school’s and young people’s participation in a range of different sports. Following this I joined the Foundation as a Development Officer for Leeds, my remit was to work in diverse communities to increase participation and ultimately, to expand the game to a more diverse and wider audience.

In my free time I play Basketball for a Woman’s team in Division 2 National League and I enjoy socialising with family and friends.
