The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation is seeking committed and impartial individuals to join our Independent Disciplinary Panel in two key volunteer roles.
Independent Disciplinary Panel Chair
As Chair, you will lead disciplinary hearings, ensuring they are conducted fairly, transparently and in line with ECB policies and procedures. You will guide panel discussions, support balanced decision-making and ensure all parties are treated with respect and impartiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chair disciplinary hearings and manage proceedings effectively
- Ensure decisions are fair, evidence-based and consistent
- Provide clear leadership to panel members
- Uphold confidentiality and integrity at all times
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Can remain impartial and objective
- Has experience in governance, legal, HR or disciplinary processes (desirable)
- Is confident communicating with a range of stakeholders
Independent Disciplinary Panel Member
As a Panel Member, you will play a vital role in hearing cases, reviewing evidence and contributing to fair and balanced decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in disciplinary hearings
- Review case materials and evidence thoroughly
- Contribute to discussions and decision-making
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have good judgement and integrity
- Can assess information objectively
- Are reliable and committed to fairness
- Have experience in relevant areas such as safeguarding, HR or governance (desirable)
