The Grey Fox Trophy is a Yorkshire-based over-50s cricket competition administered and delivered by the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation. Played during the summer months from April to September, the competition follows a group stage format, with the leading teams progressing into knockout and Plate competitions. The exact structure is confirmed once entries close, and the season concludes with finals day at Scarborough Cricket Ground, where the Grey Fox Trophy and Grey Fox Plate are contested.

Designed to be competitive but inclusive, the Grey Fox Trophy includes age-related run handicaps, batsmen retiring on 30 and over limits per bowler. This ensures the competition is accessible not only to those still playing regularly, but also to players who have stepped back from league cricket or cannot commit to full-season competition. It provides a friendly, well-structured environment for over-50s to enjoy the game, stay active and remain connected to cricket.
