Coaching Courses

In partnership with The Metro Bank Girls in Cricket, ECB have adapted the ECB Core Coach programme for existing and potential coaches from clubs with a girls’ section and clubs starting a girls’ section wishing to become qualified to coach cricket, inspire and develop girls and make a difference to the game.

The ECB Core Coach programme is an entry level qualification for coaching cricket in England and Wales. The programme is a blend of e-learning and face-to-face modules. Led by ECB Coach Developers, it will explore the player-centred planning process, player development, the skills you can help players to develop and how you can learn from your experiences.

Insight developed by ECB, Metro Bank and Women in Sport says that there are opportunities to improve coach development experiences and the support offered to elevate the girls’ club game.
62% of coaches agree that there is a lack of specific education for coaches in the girls’ game.

75% of coaches agree they would benefit from more specific resources and information around coaching girls’ cricket.

We are delighted to announce that we will be offering The Metro Bank Girls in Cricket Fund ECB Core Coach.
