Safeguarding is Everyone’s Responsibility

At the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation and the ECB, we’re committed to making cricket a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. That’s why we offer safeguarding training for all participants, tailored to different roles:

  • Safeguarding Level One (SGL1): Quick free 30-minute online induction for everyone involved in cricket (for parents, volunteers, players etc)

  • Safeguarding Level Two (SGL2): Interactive free 1-hour online course with an assessment for those in Regulated Cricketing roles (captains, coaches, junior managers etc)

  • Safeguarding Level Three (SGL3) – Safe Hands Workshop: Hands-on 3-hour face-to-face workshop led by an ECB-trained tutor (mandatory training for Club & League Safeguarding Officer’s)

Whether you’re a player, coach, volunteer or official, completing the right safeguarding training helps keep cricket safe, fun and inclusive for all. To learn more about which courses are compulsory for all roles in cricket please click here.
