Clarification of criteria for the County Grants Fund

For those clubs wishing to apply for the ECB County Grant Fund, here at the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation (YCF) we would like to clarify the eligibility criteria to ensure you have all the information you need before applying.

The ECB eligibility criteria is solely available to:

  • Clubs with an established Women’s or Girls section (definition of ‘established is a minimum of 3 competitive fixtures recorded on Play Cricket).
  • Clubs delivering a Dynamos Cricket Programme specifically for girls.
  • Dynamos Cricket for Girls Activation clubs.
  • Disability Cricket: a registered Disability Champion Cricket Club or a registered host for the Disability Premier League in 2025/2026.

County Cricket Boards have the option to refine the criteria, and as such the funding panel of the YCF has made the decision to prioritise Clubs with an established girls section. Disability club applications will also be considered.

Note: There are currently no opportunities for clubs to apply for environmental projects.

Any club considering an application for the ECB County Grant Fund should contact their relevant Head of Region or Club & Community Development Manager, prior to submitting on the Investment Management System (IMS), to discuss any proposed application and the likelihood of a successful application.

Please also ensure you have read and understood the guidance notes, understand the project themes and required documentation, including planning permission, tenders and required club documentation.

We are already considering projects for 2027, so it is highly recommended to first discuss your project plans with a member of the YCF team before your submission on IMS.
