Beach Cricket
The aim of the beach cricket tournament is to engage children through a fun, non-traditional format of the game, using casual cricket as an accessible and positive way to introduce new audiences.
Enjoy Cricket
Enjoy Cricket is a fantastic opportunity for Yorkshire-based cricket clubs, schools and community groups to run coaching courses throughout the school holidays that are fully funded by the Charitable Youth Trust and administered by the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation.
Pop-Up Cricket
Pop-Up Cricket introduces the game to children aged 6–13 who may not previously have had the opportunity, resources or access to play cricket.
Wicketz
Wicketz is a national programme funded by The Lord Taverners, with delivery in Yorkshire taking place across Leeds, Bradford and Hull. Using cricket as the main engagement tool, Wicketz Yorkshire aims to create a lasting positive impact for young people living in areas of high deprivation.
The Hundred
Delivered across Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield and Kirklees, the competition engages diverse and underrepresented communities through both hardball and softball formats, creating opportunities for men, women, boys and girls to take part in cricket outside of traditional club settings.
Cardio Cricket
Cardio Cricket is a fun and inclusive initiative designed to support people who may not usually take part in sport or physical activity to become more active.
Indoor Cricket
The competitions provide the opportunity to play a more formalised version of cricket, but in a community setting local to participants.
Tapeball
TapeBall cricket is an informal, fast-paced version of the game that originated in South Asian communities, traditionally played in streets and backyards using a tennis ball wrapped in electrical tape.
Cric-Kit
Cric-Kit is Yorkshire Cricket Foundation’s recycling initiative designed to make cricket more accessible while supporting sustainability. By encouraging the reuse and recycling of sports clothing and equipment, Cric-Kit helps remove barriers to participation and supports communities to get involved in the game.
The Grey Fox Trophy
The Grey Fox Trophy provides a friendly, well-structured environment for over-50s to enjoy the game, stay active and remain connected to cricket.
Walking Cricket
Walking Cricket is not just about the physical benefits or winning the game, it’s about the team spirit, developing new relationships and maintaining good mental health.
