The Grey Fox Trophy

Yorkshire’s Premier Over 50’s Competition

The Grey Fox Trophy is a Yorkshire-based over 50’s cricket competition administered and delivered by the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation.

The tournament, which takes place from April-September annually, includes a round robin group stage with the top four teams progressing onto the semi-finals day at New Rover CC. Those who don’t qualify to play, compete for the Plate trophy; a knockout competition with the final two teams qualifying for finals day which takes place at Scarborough Cricket Club.

With age-related run handicaps in place, batsmen retiring on 30 and over limits per bowler, the competition is not just aimed at cricketers still playing on a regular basis. It gives those who have retired or are unable to commit to regular, formal cricket the opportunity to don their whites and enjoy a game of competitive cricket in a friendly environment.
