Registrations are now open for the Yorkshire CCC Boys’ Early Engagement and Regional Cricket Observations for the 2026/27 season.
Each year, around 1,500 young cricketers from across Yorkshire attend observations as the first step on their journey through the Yorkshire player pathway.
Early Engagement Programme (U12 and below)
The Early Engagement Programme is the entry point into the Yorkshire CCC pathway for players aged Under 12 and younger.
Players are selected into one of four regional groups:
- North Yorkshire
- East & Central Yorkshire
- South Yorkshire

Successful players take part in:
- A 12-week winter programme
- An 18-day summer programme
Regional Cricket Programme (U13-U15)
The Regional Cricket Programme supports talented Under 13 to Under 15 players and sits directly below the Yorkshire County Age Group programme.
The programme aims to develop players and provide opportunities to progress into County Age Group cricket.
Selected players will take part in:
- A 10-week winter training programme
- A 12-day match-play programme during the season
Progression to Yorkshire County Age Group Cricket is based on performance.
