Cric-Kit, in partnership with Vertu, is coming to Clifton Park on Sunday 29th March to ‘pass on the bat’!

What is Cric-Kit?

Cric-Kit is Yorkshire Cricket Foundation’s recycling initiative designed to make cricket more accessible while supporting sustainability. By encouraging the reuse and recycling of sports clothing and equipment, Cric-Kit helps remove barriers to participation and supports communities to get involved in the game.

Our Cric-Kit recycling hubs are a partnership between YCF, local clubs, communities and delivery partners, working together to create long-term social and environmental impact beyond cricket. Following a successful year-long pilot, the project has developed a strong, scalable framework that demonstrates how recycled kit can help widen access to the game.

The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation have 4 Cric-Kit hubs available across Yorkshire. These are:

  • Headingley Stadium
  • Bradford Park Avenue
  • Sheffield Caribbean Cricket Club
  • York Cricket Club

We will be bringing kit, from all 4 Cric-Kit Hubs to York Cricket Club on Sunday 29th March.

The community event will run from 12pm-2.30pm and give the opportunity for people from the local community to take away donated kit, take part in fun activities and learn more about Cric-Kit and Vertu.

We hope to see you there!
